You have the number. The app is how you find out whether it moves: it builds the routine around your weakest feature, then re scans the same face weeks later and shows you the difference.
How the score works
You give it a front photo and a side profile. The side one matters more than people expect, because jaw and chin are judged from it, and a scan without it has them estimated from the front instead.
It reads five areas and weights them: jawline definition, facial symmetry, eye area, skin quality and bone structure. Those five produce the number out of 100. Alongside it you get nine finer traits, a written read of the face, the single change that would move the score most, and a potential score for the ceiling that face could reach.
Each trait is placed in a band rather than given a decimal. A phone photo cannot support two decimal places, and pretending otherwise would be dishonest.
What it cannot tell you
It is an appearance estimate from a photograph. It is not a measurement of your worth, your health or your future, and it is not a medical opinion.
It is also easy to fool with a camera. Height and angle change the result more than most things you could actually do to your face, which is why a photo taken from above scores a jaw differently to one taken at eye level. If you want a number that means anything, hold the lens at eye level, at arm's length, in flat light from in front, with a neutral expression. An average face scores near the middle. That is the point rather than a flaw. Any tool that tells everybody they are an eight is not measuring anything.

Is it free?
Yes. One photo, no sign up, no card. The free rating gives you the score, the five feature breakdown and a card you can share.
How accurate is it?
Accurate enough to be useful, and not precise enough to be a verdict. It is a model reading a photograph, so it is consistent about obvious things like skin clarity and less confident about anything the camera has distorted. Treat the band it puts you in as the signal and ignore the last point or two.
What happens to my photo?
It is used to generate your analysis and nothing else. It is never sold and never used for advertising, and photos are not retained on Forma's own servers for the analysis itself. The full detail, including how the paid report differs, is in the privacy policy.
What counts as a good score?
Most faces land in the middle. A score in the seventies is genuinely good. The more useful number is the gap between your current score and your potential score, because that gap is the part you can actually act on.
Why did my score change when I scanned again?
Almost always the photo rather than the face. Camera height, lighting, expression and how much fluid you are holding in the face that morning all move it. Take the second photo the same way as the first if you want the two to be comparable.
Can I use it on someone else?
Only upload photos you have the right to use. Rating a stranger's photograph without their say so is not something to do with this or anything else.
